Main Activities of IEF
The International Conference:
- It takes place every 2 years over 7 days. It is organised by one of the IEF member regions.
- It is structured by theme and includes:
  meetings, workshops, lectures, discussion groups and liturgies of different denominations.
- It brings together about 200 participants.
- At the end of the conference, a declaration drafted by the International Theological Commission is sent to the official ecumenical bodies
The international mini-conference:
- It takes place every 2 years over 4 days and is held in between the International Conference.
- It takes place in a non-IEF member country.
- It is also thematically structured and includes:
  meetings with ecumenical personalities, lectures and visits to ecumenical venues
- It brings together between 30 and 60 participants
Links with Regions and Associate Members:
While the Regions have their own activities, the International links with them by organising:
- Visits to the Regions
- Common prayers, conferences and discussions by video
Publications:
- Special newspapers on international conferences and mini-conferences (available on request).
- Opinions of the Theological Commission on published ecumenical documents.
